Breast Health

It is recommended that all women have mammograms beginning at age 40. Some women may benefit from earlier screening if they have higher risk based on personal or family history. The mammogram is the primary tool we use to find breast cancer. Women with dense breasts may benefit from breast ultrasound and/or breast MRI. Each woman needs an individual risk assessment and plan for their breast health. This may involve breast examination, various imaging modalities and if appropriate, genetic testing.
